Her friend Angela was killed in a car accident at fifteen years old. The loss was very painful for Mitchell and her song Angel in her first album penned for Angela. The song was featured on her 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she also talked about her experiences.
